Need to Surrender your Lab?

We understand that you may be making a very difficult decision and that your Lab is a much-loved member of your family. If re-homing your Lab is what is best for all involved, then the first step is to submit the owner surrender form below. A volunteer will call you to discuss your situation and the possibility of re-homing the Lab with us. Please be ready to provide vet history.

After you have spoken with a volunteer, we will set up an evaluation. We will evaluate your Lab with another dog, testing for aggression. If your dog is aggressive, we will not be able to help re-home. If your Lab passes the evaluation, we will begin working to find a great match for your Lab.  We will need several good pictures that capture your dog's personality and a biography describing your Lab. The more we know about your Lab, the easier it is to find the perfect match.

Foster Homes: Lab Rescue is not a kennel/shelter. We are a foster home-only rescue, which means we can not remove your dog from your home unless we have an open foster home. If you are surrendering, we will begin looking for a match right away. Your dog will remain in your home until an open foster home is available. Many times we are able to re-home your dog without placing them into a foster home.
