Grits – An Easygoing Gentleman Who Loves the Simple Life

Hi, I’m Grits! I’m an 11-year-old gentle soul with a calm, relaxed personality and a heart full of quiet loyalty. I’m the kind of dog who is happy just being part of your day — whether that means hanging out nearby while you relax, or enjoying some peaceful time outside.

I’m a nice balance of independent and social. I enjoy being around my people and my dog friends, but I’m also perfectly content doing my own thing. I really don’t ask for much — just a comfortable place to rest, a few treats, and a family to call my own.

I get along well with other dogs and can be playful at times, but I’m also happy to sit back and watch the younger pups run around and have their fun. One of my favorite places is the yard, where I love to stroll, relax, and soak up the sunshine.

I’m friendly, quiet, and easy to live with. I get around just fine and enjoy life at a comfortable pace. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who will bring calm and companionship to your home, I might be the perfect match for you.

Meet Mabel – Your Loyal Adventure Buddy

Mabel is a beautiful 2½-year-old black Labrador who loves being part of the family. Weighing about 85–90 pounds, she is the perfect mix of playful energy and affectionate companionship. Mabel enjoys being around people and truly thrives when she is included in everyday life.

Like many Labs, Mabel loves the outdoors. Walks, hikes, and exploring new places are some of her favorite activities, but her absolute favorite game is fetch. Toss a ball across the yard and Mabel will happily chase it again and again with enthusiasm until she’s finally ready for a break. She also enjoys splashing in a stream and spending time outside taking in all the sights and smells.

Inside the home, Mabel settles in nicely and enjoys relaxing near her family. She often chooses a spot close by, resting at your feet or curling up next to you for a nap. She bonds closely with her people and enjoys simply being part of whatever is going on around the house.

Mabel has been wonderful with the children in her family, especially when they visit for playtime. She enjoys joining their games of fetch and hide-and-seek and always seems happy when the kids arrive. With visitors, she may be curious at first but warms up quickly once she knows they are friendly.

Mabel enjoys activity and would do best in a home that can provide daily exercise and time outdoors. After a good game of fetch or a long walk, she is happy to come inside and relax with her family.

One of Mabel’s cutest habits is dragging her blanket from room to room so she can settle down near her people. It’s her way of making sure she’s always close to the family she enjoys being around.

Mabel is ready for a home where she can enjoy outdoor adventures, family time, and plenty of games of fetch.

Fetcher is a handsome chocolate Lab, estimated to be between 3–6 years old, weighing about 75 pounds. This sweet boy has a calm, affectionate nature indoors but comes alive the moment he gets outside—especially if a ball is involved.

Fetcher is the type of dog who loves being close to his people. Around the house he’s relaxed, content to follow you from room to room, settle nearby, or curl up for some quiet companionship. He’s affectionate, eager to please, and enjoys simply being part of the household routine.

Timber — The Big Goofy Lab Who Just Wants to Play

Meet Timber, an 8-month-old black Lab (born June 13, 2025) who is already 70–75 pounds of classic Lab love. This handsome boy is available Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) and is ready to find an active family to grow up with.

Timber is a young, active Lab who loves to play. Fetch, tug-of-war, swimming, and backyard zoomies are some of his favorite activities, and if there’s a ball involved he’s all in. He’s also very smart and highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Timber already knows sit, down, and come and is eager to learn more.

With his family, Timber is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He’s currently living with children and is gentle and loving with them, though his playful puppy enthusiasm can occasionally knock them over during zoomies — followed immediately by plenty of apology kisses.

Raven

Quick Facts!
Age 1 | 35 pounds | Female

Dog Friendly: Yes, would love a playmate

Cat Friendly: Tolerant

Kids: 8+

Energy Level: Yes, Active, Med-High

Retrieves: Yes, Playful

Water Lover: Yes

Ideal Home Type: Active home with room to play

Hi… I’m Raven 🖤 and I’ve got a lot of love (and a little bit of zoom) packed into my 35-pound body.

I’m about a year old, and I wake up every day ready to go — whether that means a walk, a game of tug, or just following you around to “help” with whatever you’re doing. I’m super smart and already know a bunch of things like sit, down, wait, and even shake (I mean… I am impressive). Snacks help, but honestly, I just really want to make you happy.

I LOVE other dogs and really hope I have a playful buddy in my forever home. I like to wrestle, run, and play hard, and having a confident dog friend helps me feel even braver. I’ve lived with cats before and seem pretty tolerant, but I haven’t had much personal experience lately.

I’ve got a fun, athletic side too — I can jump really high and I’m FAST. Like… blink and I’m across the yard fast. Because of that, I’ll need a secure fence (I hear 6 feet is perfect 😉). I also love walks, toys, and anything that lets me burn off my energy. After all that? I’m the BEST snuggler. I will absolutely curl up right next to you (or on you… hope that’s okay).

My dream home? An active family who will include me in their life, help me keep learning, and give me lots of love (and maybe a few treats… or a lot). Bonus points if I get a dog sibling to play with!

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, slightly goofy, and very loving best friend… I think we might be perfect for each other.

Love,
Raven

Meet Ginger — The Sweet, Spirited Chocolate Lab Looking for Her Match!

Hi there! I’m Ginger, a 2‑year‑old Chocolate Lab with a shiny coat, soulful eyes, and a heart full of love. I’m 49 lbs of energy, affection, and goofy charm — the kind of girl who’ll make you smile every single day.

🐾 About Me

  • Social butterfly: I adore other dogs and love to play tug, chase, and wrestle. I’m vocal when I play — I “talk” to my friends but never growl.

  • Confident & friendly: I’ve never met a stranger! I greet everyone with a wag and a sparkle in my eyes.

  • Smart cookie: I know sit, stay, easy, and no. I’m eager to please and melt when you tell me I’m a good girl.

  • High‑energy sweetheart: I’m happiest when I can run, play, and explore. A fenced yard (at least 5 feet!) is a must.

  • Lover, not a lounger: I’m affectionate and love cuddles, but I’m no couch potato. I’ll curl up at your feet after a day of fun.

 My Ideal Match

I’m looking for an active family who enjoys walks, playtime, and laughter. A playful dog sibling would be amazing! I’m not a fan of cats (they’re just too tempting to chase), but I’m great with older kids who can handle my enthusiasm.

 Fun Facts

  • I sleep soundly through the night — snoring included!

  • I love ice cubes and milk bones.

  • I’m a pro at leash walks and travel beautifully in the car.

  • My tail wags faster than you can say “fetch!”

  • Best suited for a quiet home with adults or kids 8+

  • Cats Unknown

Raider is a 12-year-old chocolate Lab with a gentle soul and a heart that just wants to be close to his person. After the loss of his previous owner, Raider is learning to adjust—but what hasn’t changed is his deep devotion and love for companionship.

This handsome senior is the definition of a couch potato. He enjoys short, leisurely walks, a cozy dog bed, and simply being near you throughout the day. Whether you’re watching TV, reading, or heading out for a car ride (his favorite!), Raider is happiest right by your side.

Raider has a calm, introverted personality. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, you’ll find a loyal companion who offers quiet affection and occasional cuddles. He can be a bit vocal when he needs something—he’s just making sure you don’t forget about him!

Raider does have some mild anxiety and prefers not to be left alone for long periods. He’s used to having his person nearby and thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time—retirees or a low-key household would be ideal.

Like many seniors, Raider has a bit of arthritis and some ongoing ear care needs, but he’s still mobile (stairs included!) and enjoying life at his own pace.

Raider’s Ideal Home:

  • Calm, quiet household

  • Someone home most of the time

  • Possibly another senior or mellow dog

  • A family looking for a loyal companion, not a high-energy pup

Raider doesn’t ask for much—just love, patience, and a place to belong again. In return, he’ll give you steady companionship and a bond that only a senior dog can offer. 💛

Meet Taz – Your Velcro Shadow with a Playful Spark 💙

Taz is the kind of dog who makes himself at home in your heart immediately—often by rolling onto his back for belly rubs within seconds of meeting you. This incredibly affectionate, gentle boy lives for human connection and will happily follow you from room to room, just to be near his people.

Inside the home, Taz is a dream: calm, well-mannered, and happiest curled up on a pillow (preferably right next to you). He settles quickly, greets guests with soft curiosity, and has a naturally relaxed, easygoing presence. A trainer recently noted how comfortable and social he is with both familiar and new people—always ready for affection and happy to gently accept treats.

Outside, Taz transforms into a playful athlete who loves chasing a ball, exploring, and soaking up the world around him. He walks nicely on leash and enjoys being out and about, but like many smart, instinct-driven dogs, he’s very tuned in to his environment—especially wildlife. Squirrels, rabbits, and other critters are very exciting to Taz! The good news? With guidance, he’s able to refocus and continue walking, and he’s already showing great potential to improve with training.

At his core, Taz is a deeply loving, loyal companion who just wants to belong. With a little structure and continued training, he’s going to make an incredible family dog.

Taz’s Ideal Home:
• A loving family (kids welcome!)
• A secure fenced yard to safely explore
• No cats or small animals
• Committed to positive training and continued socialization
• Lots of affection—he’s a world-class snuggler

  • NO Cats

  • Kids 6+

  • Loves attention

  • Loves to retrieve

  • Enjoys swimming

  • Fenced yard required

Meet Susie Hi, I’m Susie! I’m a 6-year-old bundle of happiness with a big smile and an even bigger heart. I’m a social butterfly who loves being around people and other dogs—I just enjoy good company! Kids? I think they’re awesome! I love getting attention and making people smile with my outgoing, goofy personality. I’m what you’d call a “loose and floppy” kind of girl—always relaxed, happy, and ready to play. Toys are my jam, and I never turn down a good game! I’m also a total people-pleaser, so if you give me love, I’ll give it right back. One thing to know—I need a cat-free home because my prey drive is pretty strong. Oh and I need a fully fenced yard, with a good 4-5’ fence – that’s because I RUN after squirrels. Such good exercise! But if you’re looking for a fun, friendly, and affectionate girl to bring joy into your life, I just might be the perfect match for you!

Copper - Foster to Adopt

Quick Facts:

  • 3 years old | 80 lbs | High energy

  • Dog friendly: Yes – very playful and social

  • Cat friendly: Yes – gentle and curious with cats, doesn’t live with cats

  • Kids: Great with all ages (6 months–13 years)

  • Home needs: Fenced yard required; active home (not suited for apartment living)

Copper is a stunning Fox Red Lab with a big personality and a giant heart. This sweet, social boy loves everyone he meets—men, women, kids, dogs, and even cats! He’s the kind of dog who brings joy wherever he goes, always ready to play, explore, or soak up attention from his people.

Copper is playful, energetic, and happiest when he has space to run and get his zoomies out. He’s currently living in an apartment, which has been tough for such an active dog, and he would truly thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and burn off energy. Despite his high energy, Copper has a wonderful temperament—he’s affectionate, eager to please, and loves being part of the family.

He’s already got a great foundation—Copper is fully house trained and crate trained, settling nicely in his crate overnight and during the day. He knows basic commands and is very receptive to learning, especially with consistent guidance. Like many strong, enthusiastic labs, he does pull on the leash and will need continued training using a harness. He may also bark or whine briefly when left alone but settles well once he adjusts.

Copper is being placed as a Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) so that Lab Rescue can bring him up to date on veterinary care, including vaccines and testing. He appears healthy overall but will need routine vetting once in the program. LRGR covers the cost of all necessary veterinary care.

Copper’s ideal home is active, loving, and ready to give him the exercise and structure he’s been missing. With room to run, a consistent routine, and a little patience, Copper is going to blossom into an incredible companion.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and energetic Lab who will keep you smiling, Copper might be your perfect match! 🧡
