Grits – An Easygoing Gentleman Who Loves the Simple Life
Hi, I’m Grits! I’m an 11-year-old gentle soul with a calm, relaxed personality and a heart full of quiet loyalty. I’m the kind of dog who is happy just being part of your day — whether that means hanging out nearby while you relax, or enjoying some peaceful time outside.
I’m a nice balance of independent and social. I enjoy being around my people and my dog friends, but I’m also perfectly content doing my own thing. I really don’t ask for much — just a comfortable place to rest, a few treats, and a family to call my own.
I get along well with other dogs and can be playful at times, but I’m also happy to sit back and watch the younger pups run around and have their fun. One of my favorite places is the yard, where I love to stroll, relax, and soak up the sunshine.
I’m friendly, quiet, and easy to live with. I get around just fine and enjoy life at a comfortable pace. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who will bring calm and companionship to your home, I might be the perfect match for you.

Meet Fetcher – The Ball Is Life Lab
Fetcher is a handsome chocolate Lab, estimated to be between 3–6 years old, weighing about 75 pounds. This sweet boy has a calm, affectionate nature indoors but comes alive the moment he gets outside—especially if a ball is involved.
Fetcher is the type of dog who loves being close to his people. Around the house he’s relaxed, content to follow you from room to room, settle nearby, or curl up for some quiet companionship. He’s affectionate, eager to please, and enjoys simply being part of the household routine.
Outside is where Fetcher’s playful side really shines. His absolute favorite thing in the world is his ball—and when it appears, he’s all in! Toss it once and you’ll quickly see how focused and enthusiastic he can be. Fetcher loves a good game of fetch and will happily chase his ball again and again. Because he gets so excited during playtime, he’s currently learning that calm behavior gets the ball thrown, which helps him manage his excitement.
Overall, Fetcher is a friendly, affectionate, slightly goofy Lab who loves his people and thrives with structure and activity. With the right balance of exercise, leadership, and plenty of fetch sessions, he will make an incredibly loyal and fun companion.

Age 1 | 35 pounds | Female
Dog Friendly: Yes, would love a playmate
Cat Friendly: Tolerant
Kids: 8+
Energy Level: Yes, Active, Med-High
Retrieves: Yes, Playful
Water Lover: Yes
Ideal Home Type: Active home with room to play
Hi… I’m Raven 🖤 and I’ve got a lot of love (and a little bit of zoom) packed into my 35-pound body.
I’m about a year old, and I wake up every day ready to go — whether that means a walk, a game of tug, or just following you around to “help” with whatever you’re doing. I’m super smart and already know a bunch of things like sit, down, wait, and even shake (I mean… I am impressive). Snacks help, but honestly, I just really want to make you happy.
I LOVE other dogs and really hope I have a playful buddy in my forever home. I like to wrestle, run, and play hard, and having a confident dog friend helps me feel even braver. I’ve lived with cats before and seem pretty tolerant, but I haven’t had much personal experience lately.
I’ve got a fun, athletic side too — I can jump really high and I’m FAST. Like… blink and I’m across the yard fast. Because of that, I’ll need a secure fence (I hear 6 feet is perfect 😉). I also love walks, toys, and anything that lets me burn off my energy. After all that? I’m the BEST snuggler. I will absolutely curl up right next to you (or on you… hope that’s okay).
My dream home? An active family who will include me in their life, help me keep learning, and give me lots of love (and maybe a few treats… or a lot). Bonus points if I get a dog sibling to play with!
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, slightly goofy, and very loving best friend… I think we might be perfect for each other.
Love,
Raven

Meet Ginger — The Sweet, Spirited Chocolate Lab Looking for Her Match!
Hi there! I’m Ginger, a 2‑year‑old Chocolate Lab with a shiny coat, soulful eyes, and a heart full of love. I’m 49 lbs of energy, affection, and goofy charm — the kind of girl who’ll make you smile every single day.
🐾 About Me
-
Social butterfly: I adore other dogs and love to play tug, chase, and wrestle. I’m vocal when I play — I “talk” to my friends but never growl.
-
Confident & friendly: I’ve never met a stranger! I greet everyone with a wag and a sparkle in my eyes.
-
Smart cookie: I know sit, stay, easy, and no. I’m eager to please and melt when you tell me I’m a good girl.
-
High‑energy sweetheart: I’m happiest when I can run, play, and explore. A fenced yard (at least 5 feet!) is a must.
-
Lover, not a lounger: I’m affectionate and love cuddles, but I’m no couch potato. I’ll curl up at your feet after a day of fun.
My Ideal Match
I’m looking for an active family who enjoys walks, playtime, and laughter. A playful dog sibling would be amazing! I’m not a fan of cats (they’re just too tempting to chase), but I’m great with older kids who can handle my enthusiasm.

-
I’m a pro at leash walks and travel beautifully in the car.

Meet Taz – Your Velcro Shadow with a Playful Spark 💙
Taz is the kind of dog who makes himself at home in your heart immediately—often by rolling onto his back for belly rubs within seconds of meeting you. This incredibly affectionate, gentle boy lives for human connection and will happily follow you from room to room, just to be near his people.
Inside the home, Taz is a dream: calm, well-mannered, and happiest curled up on a pillow (preferably right next to you). He settles quickly, greets guests with soft curiosity, and has a naturally relaxed, easygoing presence. A trainer recently noted how comfortable and social he is with both familiar and new people—always ready for affection and happy to gently accept treats.
Outside, Taz transforms into a playful athlete who loves chasing a ball, exploring, and soaking up the world around him. He walks nicely on leash and enjoys being out and about, but like many smart, instinct-driven dogs, he’s very tuned in to his environment—especially wildlife. Squirrels, rabbits, and other critters are very exciting to Taz! The good news? With guidance, he’s able to refocus and continue walking, and he’s already showing great potential to improve with training.
At his core, Taz is a deeply loving, loyal companion who just wants to belong. With a little structure and continued training, he’s going to make an incredible family dog.
Taz’s Ideal Home:
• A loving family (kids welcome!)
• A secure fenced yard to safely explore
• No cats or small animals
• Committed to positive training and continued socialization
• Lots of affection—he’s a world-class snuggler
If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with his whole heart, make you laugh, and be your constant companion—Taz is ready to meet you. 💙

Pepper — Healing, Growing, and Ready to Love
I’m a beautiful girl with soulful eyes and a personality that’s equal parts silly and sweet. I love being near my people whether we’re relaxing on the couch, playing hide‑and‑seek, or just hanging out together. I’m smart, expressive, and full of charm.
I have some adorable quirks that make me one of a kind: I love my stuffed blue octopus and carry it around like it’s my best friend. I gather all my toys into my bed so I can be surrounded by them, it’s my happy place! I also ask permission before hopping on the couch (manners matter!) and I love playing with the water hose.
I take my job of looking out for my people seriously if someone’s at the door, I’ll let you know! I’m also working on staying calm when I see dogs or strangers and my foster family says I’m making progress but this is an area that still needs work.
My foster parents have been working hard to help me feel my best. When I came to Lab Rescue, I had lots of hair loss, dry skin, overweight and long toenails but thanks to their care and love, I’m healing beautifully and feeling so much better.
My ideal home would be one with loving, patient humans who’ll continue helping me with my reactivity training and cheer me on as I keep learning. I’d do well in a quieter environment — not too busy or city‑like — where I can relax and feel secure.
If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, and devoted companion who’ll fill your home with love and laughter, I’m your girl.

Meet Blakey
Blakey is the kind of dog people spend years hoping to find — easygoing, affectionate, beautifully mannered, and ready to fit seamlessly into family life. At 7 years old, this gorgeous black Lab mix has fully mastered the art of being the perfect companion: calm in the house, playful in the yard, wonderful in the car, trustworthy with free roam of the home, and happiest simply hanging out with her people. She’s the type of dog who curls up nearby while you go about your day, then lights up with goofy excitement the second it’s time to head outside.
Blakey already knows her manners, walks politely on leash, rides like a pro in the car, and has proven herself to be friendly with other dogs and respectful with people of all ages. She’s affectionate without being demanding and adapts beautifully to the energy of the home around her. Her only “watch outs”? She absolutely cannot live with cats — she will chase them — and her bark is impressively loud when she spots something exciting outside. Otherwise, she’s the total package!
