COVID-19 Meet and Greet Changes
Due to the recent developments regarding the spread of Novel Coronavirus in our communities, Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond is implementing several changes to meet and greet procedures to protect our adopters, volunteers, and our community. We are implementing the following procedures for the foreseeable future:
MEET AND GREET PROTOCOL
The meet and greet should only be set up if both parties are well and do not display any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
Meet and Greets must be held outside the home. This can be in the front yard, in the street or at a neutral location.
Maintain the 6 ft social distancing at all times.
You may want to wear gloves and a mask at the meet and greet.
Applicants must come with their own leash. The applicant must use their own leash to walk the dog.
Contracts must be filled out on the adopter's device. Our contract is mobile friendly, and payment will be taken through PayPal. The contract will redirect the adopter to pay with a credit card, no PayPal account needed.
At this time, we are not accepting cash or checks.
With cold and flu season, as well as allergy season in full swing for Virginians, we want to help ensure that everyone remains safe and healthy. Just because someone feels sick does not mean they are infected with COVID-19. For detailed information about this virus, please consult the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website and read the detailed information that is available.
As a rescue we have the important job of helping the animals in our care find loving forever homes. In these difficult times, an amazing dog can bring comfort and happiness to families. We are dedicated to our jobs and the safety of our volunteers and our community. Please stay healthy and safe, and help us prevent the spread of Novel Coronavirus in our community.
The goal of Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond has always been to care for our canine counterparts, We are a small, local organization entirely composed of, and run by volunteers. We are a small group taking big steps! Now, with 2019 over, we would like to paws and brag a bit. In 2019 we found 126 labs their happily ever after homes! 126 wagging tails! 126 smiling families! Countless happy moments and memories!
