What Is Foster-to-Adoption?
Foster-to-adoption gives approved adopters the opportunity to welcome a dog into their home on a trial basis while deciding if it’s the right long-term match. During this period, the dog is still considered "in foster," and our rescue continues to provide support, guidance, and cover approved medical expenses. Once you know it’s love, you complete the adoption!

How It Works

Apply – Submit an adoption application and indicate your interest in foster-to-adopt.

Match – Our team will help match you with a dog who’s a good fit for your home and lifestyle.

Trial Period – Transport provided by LRGR. Take a couple of weeks to get to know the dog.

Vet Care- Veterinary expenses are covered during the foster period (routine care, preventatives, and any necessary treatments)

Adopt – If it’s a match, we finalize the adoption and celebrate your new family member!

Looking for a loyal, loving, and goofy best friend who’ll keep you smiling every day? Look no further—Susie is your girl! This 5-year-old yellow beauty is 78 pounds of pure happiness, complete with a big smile, wiggly body, and a heart full of love. She’s a people-pleaser through and through, and nothing makes her happier than being near her humans—men, women, and kids (ages 6+) alike!
Susie is social, playful, and thrives in a home where she can be active and adored. She loves other dogs and would do best with a canine playmate who can match her joyful energy and playful style. She’s goofy, talkative, and has a few quirks that make her even more lovable—like carrying her toys around, digging sunbathing holes, and crossing her legs like a little lady.
She’s happiest when she’s chasing her favorite yellow toys, splashing in the water, or soaking up the sun with her humans close by. She can’t get enough of playing fetch, neighborhood walks, showing off her tricks or following you around the house. She does need a cat-free home and a fenced yard to safely explore and play. Susie is ready to be someone’s loyal adventure buddy and cuddle companion.
